The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
1/1000 - 1/3000. Detects a band of approximately 56 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 56 kDa).
Use at an assay dependent dilution.
FunctionCatalyzes the condensation of nicotinamide with 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate to yield nicotinamide mononucleotide, an intermediate in the biosynthesis of NAD. It is the rate limiting component in the mammalian NAD biosynthesis pathway.
Tissue specificityExpressed in large amounts in bone marrow, liver tissue, and muscle. Also present in heart, placenta, lung, and kidney tissues.
PathwayCofactor biosynthesis; NAD(+) biosynthesis; nicotinamide D-ribonucleotide from 5-phospho-alpha-D-ribose 1-diphosphate and nicotinamide: step 1/1.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the NAPRTase family.
Western blot - Anti-Visfatin antibody [4D5] (ab71505)
Predicted band size : 56 kDa
(Top) The cell lysates were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human Visfatin (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.
Lane 1 : 293T cell lysate (30ug)
(Bottom) The cell lysates were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human Visfatin (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.
ICC/IF analysis of Visfatin in HeLa cells line, stained with DAPI (Blue) for nucleus staining and monoclonal anti-human Visfatin antibody (1:100) with goat anti-mouse IgG-Alexa fluor® 488 conjugate (Green).
