ab142898, 6-MITC is a kind of isothocyanates which is yellowish brown liquids at room temperature. This product is not dissolved in any solvent. The brown liquid form that you received is the pure compound.

ab142898 is soluble in ethanol, methanol or ethyl acetate. it is also soluble in DMSO but the concentration would be up to 20 mg/ml. Ab142898 is also soluble in water.
