Dot-blot analysis with ab51253 shows it's specificity to phosphorylated alpha-synuclein it recognises recombinant phosphorylated and aggregated alpha-synuclein from transgenic mouse brain (TgM83). ab51253 recognises pathological alpha-synuclein from human synucleinopathy brains, Parkinson's disease and multiple system atrophy. ab51253 also detects insoluble alpha-synuclein aggregates within HEK 293T cells expressing human mutant A53T alpha-synuclein seeded with recombinant filaments of A53T alpha-synuclein. In unseeded HEk 293T cells expressing human mutant A53T, no phosphorylated and aggregated alpha-synuclein is detected.
