I have a question about the protocol of G6P assay kit. I would like to measure intracellular G6P level with the kit. The protocol recommends that 5 million cells should be homogenized with 2-3 volumes of ice cold PBS. I wonder if it is okay to sonicate cells in ice cold PBS containing 0.1% NP-40 or in Assay buffer included in the kit.

Thank you for contacting us. Yes the assay buffer in the kit may be used. You may sonicate the cells being careful that they are fully lysed.
