      Question

Could you tell me the immunogen sequence? If this is proprietary, could you tell me if itoverlaps withthe catalytic domain (amino acids 46-315)? I need to know this information for a co-IP that I would like to perform.

      Answer

Thank you for your call today and for your question about ab77082.

I have heard back from the lab, and though the exact immunogen sequence is considered proprietary, it does fall between amino acids 181 and 240. This region is within the catalytic domain, which is amino acids 46-315 according to UniProt.

      http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q2M2I8

I'm assuming that you would like to co-IP AAK1 bound to another protein at the catalytic domain? This antibody does not sound like it would work in such an assay, but there may a different AAK1 antibody that would work. Ab59740 is specific for a more C-terminal region, though it has not been tested in IP:
