Function
Core subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I) that is believed to belong to the minimal assembly required for catalysis. Complex I functions in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone. -
Sequence similarities
Belongs to the complex I 24 kDa subunit family. -
Cellular localization
Mitochondrion inner membrane. - Information by UniProt

ab183715 Anti-NDUFV2 antibody [EPR15351(B)] was shown to specifically react with NDUFV2 in wild-type HeLa cells. Loss of signal was observed when knockout cell line ab265619 (knockout cell lysate ab258068) was used. Wild-type and NDUFV2 knockout samples were subjected to SDS-PAGE. ab183715 and Anti-alpha Tubulin antibody [DM1A] - Loading Control (ab7291) were incubated overnight at 4°C at 1 in 1000 dilution and 1 in 20000 dilution respectively. Blots were developed with Goat anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (IRDye® 800CW) preadsorbed (ab216773) and Goat anti-Mouse IgG H&L (IRDye® 680RD) preadsorbed (ab216776) secondary antibodies at 1 in 20000 dilution for 1 hour at room temperature before imaging.

Intracellular Flow Cytometry analysis of Jurkat (Human T cell leukemia T lymphocyte) cells labeling NDUFV2 with purified ab183715 at 1/80 dilution (10ug/mL) (red). Cells were fixed with 80% methanol and permeabilised using 0.1% Tween-20. A Goat anti rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor®488) (ab150077) secondary antibody was used at 1/2000 dilution. Isotype control - Rabbit monoclonal IgG (Black) (ab172730). Unlabeled control - Cell without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody (Blue).
