Product name
Anti-dimethyl Arginine antibody [21C7] -
Description
Mouse monoclonal [21C7] to dimethyl Arginine -
Host species
Mouse -
Specificity
This antibody reacts with free and bound asymmetric NG-NG-dimethyl arginine. It is not known whether the antibody reacts with symmetric dimethyl arginine. -
Tested applications
Suitable for: IP, WB, ChIPmore details -
Species reactivity
Reacts with: Species independent -
Immunogen
Asymmetric NG -N G -dimethyl arginine (two methyl groups on one of the terminal nitrogen atoms of the guanidinium group)

General notes
This antibody will be of use in chromatin and transcription factor research to monitor methylation status. Since it is specific to dimethyl arginine it can be used in parallel with ab412 (detects monomethyl and dimethyl arginine) and ab414 (detects monomethyl arginine only) to monitor the exact modification status.
The Life Science industry has been in the grips of a reproducibility crisis for a number of years. Abcam is leading the way in addressing this with our range of recombinant monoclonal antibodies and knockout edited cell lines for gold-standard validation.
