Target

  • Relevance

ABCA8 is a member of the superfamily of ATP binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra and intracellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the ABC1 subfamily. Members of the ABC1 subfamily comprise the only major ABC subfamily found exclusively in multicellular eukaryotes. The function of this protein has not yet been determined.
  • Cellular localization

Customer reviews and Q&As

1-2 of 2 Abreviews or Q&A

Answer

The immunogen is a peptide derived from an internal sequence of human ABCA8.
The % identity of the immunogen region with the below mentioned proteins is:

murine Abca8b (NP_038879.2) - 86%
rat Abca8b (XP_221074.5) - 88%
murine Abca8a (NP_694785.3) - 68%
rat Abca8a (XP_221100.5) - 72%
Cross reactivity with ABCA8B is likely, while crossreactivity with ABCA8A is not very likely.
