I wonder if you could send a WB image so that I can take a look at the different band size(s)? It may well that endogenously-expressed and transfected protein runs at different size on the gel.
I could certainly offer you a new vial from a different antibody ab105869 (as a free of charge replacement - FOCR). This alternative antibody is from a different source; the host species, the immunogen used and the testing conditions were different. Please could you take a look at the datasheet and confirm to me if you wish to get a FOCR.

Northern blot analysis detected APOBEC3D expression in colorectal adenocarcinoma cells, chronic myelogenous leukemia cells, lung carcinoma and HeLa cells. No expression was detected in normal tissues. The cell line A549 is a lung carcinoma cell line.
You may wish to take a look a this site for further information about the expression profile of APOBEC3D:
Q1: Does the construct contain full sequence or fragment of the target protein?
Q2: Have you used any tagging which may interact with the recognition of the epitope?
