Hello, I ordered Rabbit polyclonal to Asporin (ab58741), Order No: 970226 and I received it. I would like to ask two question. When I store at –20°C, I want to divide to some tube after dilute with distal water, to avoid freeze/thaw cycle. Do you have recommended dilution for stock? Or, should not I make more dilution during store ? Another question is Why this form is changed to liquid from lyophillised ? When I used same antibody same product number which xxxxxxx ordered (courier reference number xxxxxxx). Shipping date was 15-Sep-08, which works very well, this form was lyophilised. (Then, the same ab 58741 which ordered xxxxxxx (courier number xxxxxxxx) shipping date was xxxxxxx, it doesn’t work very well, though the form was lyophilised) Thank you,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for the delay in our response. With this antibody we would recommend that it be aliquotted on delivery (following centrifugation at 10,000 x g for 20 seconds) and stored at -20°C as you say to avoid freeze thaw cycles. We would not however recommend that you dilute the antibody further with water prior to aliquoting. Once an aliquot has been thawed and used, the remaining portion can be kept at 4°C and used within a week. More detailed information on antibody storage can be found here: https://www.abcam.com/index.html?pageconfig=resource&rid=10795 In regards to your second query, the antibody may previously have been sold as the lyophilized form but is now supplied in the reconstituted form. This should not affect the activity seen with the antibody. I hope this information has been helpful to you. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask.
