I’m trying to optimize immunohistochemistry protocols for the two following antibodies: Anti-ATF4 (ab31390) and Anti-GRP78 BiP (ab21685).
Your product sheets mention liver and breast carcinomas as positive controls for IHC-P. Could you give me more details as to what sort of carcinomas would be best?

Thank you for contacting us.
For ab21685 we used human liver carcinoma. I would suggest using the following product as a positive control:
Liver tumor (human): hepatocellular carcinoma tissue slides (ab4877) (https://www.abcam.com/ab4877).
For ab31390 we used ductal breast carcinoma tissue so I would suggest the following product from our catalogue:
Breast tumor (human): ductal carcinoma (invasive) tissue slides (ab4697) (https://www.abcam.com/ab4697)
I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.
