Dear technical support team: This customer raised an enquire about ab50148 (Anti-beta Glucuronidase (GUS) antibody - Aminoterminal end), she wants to know which subclass of this isotype is (Is IgG 1, 2a, 2b, 3 or 4)? Thank you very much for your question. Indeed the ab50148 is a polylconal antibody of rabbit origin. The antibody has been purified by affinity to the immunogen and the isotype has not been determined. However the rabbit immune system is only capable of producing IgG1 as an IgG and therefore this antibody will mainly consist out of IgG1. If the customer is searching for an isotype control, I can recommend to use also purified rabbit IgGs. I hope this information is helpful.
