Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab189375 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
|WB||Use a concentration of 1 - 2 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 27 kDa.
In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing full-length Human POU2AF1 (myc and DYKDDDDK tagged), a band of approx. 38kD was observed. No bands were observed in mock-transfected HEK293 and the same band was observed using anti-DYKDDDDK tag antibody.
|IHC-P||Use a concentration of 3.75 µg/ml. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval before commencing with IHC staining protocol.|
FunctionTranscriptional coactivator that specifically associates with either OCT1 or OCT2. It boosts the OCT1 mediated promoter activity and to a lesser extent, that of OCT2. It has no intrinsic DNA-binding activity. It recognizes the POU domains of OCT1 and OCT2. It is essential for the response of B-cells to antigens and required for the formation of germinal centers.
Tissue specificityB-cell specific.
Involvement in diseaseNote=A chromosomal aberration involving POU2AF1/OBF1 may be a cause of a form of B-cell leukemia. Translocation t(3;11)(q27;q23) with BCL6.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the POU2AF1 family.
modificationsUbiquitinated; mediated by SIAH1 or SIAH2 and leading to its subsequent proteasomal degradation.
