Thank you very much for your phone call earlier this months.
I have checked the annotation of the vials, and I can confirm that the "p" stands for "polyclonal". Indeed, it stand just in front of the Ab - so it means polylconal antibody. If it would be for phospho, it would stand either phospho- or p-BubR1. However as it is written "Shp pAb to BubR1”, it definitely stands for polyclonal.
As you however have observed a possibly unspecific band, I would really appreciate if we could investigate this problem further. Can you please provide us with an image and some protocol information about the experiments performed with theab28192? I have attached our questionnaire to this email. This questionnaire will help you to put the information together we need to be able to investigate the problem. Once we received the information, we will be able to look into the technical details and eventually provide tips for optimisation or resultion of the problem. If the vial you received is faulty, we would be happy to replace or refund the vial for you according to our guarantee.
