Target

  • Function

Calcium-dependent, calmodulin-stimulated protein phosphatase. This subunit may have a role in the calmodulin activation of calcineurin. Dephosphorylates DNM1L, HSPB1 and SSH1.
  • Sequence similarities

Belongs to the PPP phosphatase family. PP-2B subfamily.
  • Cellular localization

Nucleus. Colocalizes with ACTN1 and MYOZ2 at the Z line in heart and skeletal muscle.

  • Calcineurin A was immunoprecipitated from HeLa (human epithelial cell line from cervix adenocarcinoma) whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) with ab245360 at 3 µg/mg lysate. Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using ab245360 at 1 µg/ml.

Lane 1: ab245360 IP in HeLa whole cell lysate.
Lane 2: Control IgG IP in HeLa whole cell lysate.

Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure time of 30 seconds.

  • Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue stained for Calcineurin A using ab245360 at 1/1000 dilution in immunohistochemical analysis.

    Detection: DAB staining.
