Biological description
Potent, selective SCD1 inhibitor (IC50 values are 4.5 and 26 nM in mouse and human SCD1, respectively). Inhibits saturated, long-chain fatty acyl-CoAs conversion to monounsaturated, long-chain fatty acyl-CoAs (IC50 values are 7.9 and 6.8 nM for heptadecanoic acid and palmitic acid, respectively).
