      Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Anti-CD30 antibody [EPR4102] (ab134080)

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of human tonsil tissue sections labeling CD30 with purified ab134080 at 1/2000 dilution (0.82 µg/mL). Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed using Bond™ Epitope Retrieval Solution 2 (pH 9.0). Rabbit specific IHC polymer detection kit HRP/DAB (ab209101) was used as the secondary antibody. Negative control: PBS instead of the primary antibody. Hematoxylin was used as a counterstain.
The immunostaining was performed on a Leica Biosystems BOND® RX instrument.

    Answer

    Thank you for your enquiry.

I can confirm that ab134080Anti-CD30 antibody is sold as tissue culture supernatant. Unpurified antibodies, such as those sold as whole antiserum, ascites or tissue culture supernatant will not have a concentration stated on the datasheet. Antibody concentration is usually determined by protein assay, and tissue culture supernatant will contain a lot of other proteins, which means the antibody quantification would not be accurate.

I can confirm that for tissue culture supernatant, concentration of antibody is known to very between 1 - 3 mg/ml

Our Rabbit IgG Isotype control ab37415 would be a good match for this product. The concentration of this control is 5mg/ml. More information may be found at:https://www.abcam.com/Rabbit-IgG-ChIP-Grade-ab37415.html

I am sorry we are not able to provide an exact concentration on this occasion, but hope this information will be helpful to you. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
