Dear technical team, Our customer purchased ab54210 and tested her human samples. It detects 40kda on the datasheet but, her sample(human cell) detected 40 and 16 kDa at the same time or seperately. Some times 40kDa was more strong and some times 16kDa was more strong,,So, she is confused which one is true band. Check this please. Best regards

Thank you for your patient. When we tested this antibody in our lab we only observed a band at 40KDa. However, this protein in Human species can be found in 4 different isoforms, being isoform 4 the one the antibody recognises. However, isoform 1 has a molecular weight of 16 KDa, corresponding to the band your customer is observing. http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P42771 I hope this information is helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need further advice or information.
