FunctionComponent of the CENPA-NAC (nucleosome-associated) complex, a complex that plays a central role in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. The CENPA-NAC complex recruits the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex and may be involved in incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA into centromeres. CENPC recruits DNA methylation and DNMT3B to both centromeric and pericentromeric satellite repeats and regulates the histone code in these regions.

ab36406 staining human lymphoblastoid cells by ICC/IF. Cells were PFA fixed and blocked with 1xPBS+1%BSA+0.5%Triton X-100 for 30 minutes at 25°C, prior to incubating with ab36406, diluted 1/250 for 24 hours at 4°C. An Alexa Fluor® 488 conjugated donkey anti-mouse antibody was used as the secondary.
