  • Function

    This peptide hormone induces gall bladder contraction and the release of pancreatic enzymes in the gut. Its function in the brain is not clear. Binding to CCK-A receptors stimulates amylase release from the pancreas, binding to CCK-B receptors stimulates gastric acid secretion.

  • ICC/IF image of ab27441 stained CaCO2 cells. The cells were 4% formaldehyde fixed (10 min) and then incubated in 1%BSA / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1h to permeabilise the cells and block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody ab27441 at 10µg/ml overnight at +4°C. The secondary antibody (green) was DyLight® 488 goat anti- rabbit (ab96899) IgG (H+L) used at a 1/250 dilution for 1h. Alexa Fluor® 594 WGA was used to label plasma membranes (red) at a 1/200 dilution for 1h. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue) at a concentration of 1.43µM.

Customer reviews and Q&As


I just received some extra information from the originator of this product. They have confirmed that this antibody does not require antigen retrieval,and the recommended dilution is 1:200,10min at RT. However, these condition may not match with Ventana-XT. Ventana-XT has many advantages over other automation machines. But it will automatically dilute primary antibody before incubation. And a few antibodies don't work with Ventana-XT. Therefore, it is suggested that: 1. try dilution at 1:25-1:50, 10min at 37 degree Celsius (default temperature on Ventana-XT). 2. increase the secondary antibody incubation time. I hope this extra information will be helpful.
