WB Use a concentration of 0.5 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 40 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 45 - 56 kDa). Good results were obtained when blocked with 5% non-fat dry milk in 0.05% PBS-T.

    The nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) are members of a superfamily of ligand-gated ion channels that mediate fast signal transmission at synapses. CHRFAM7A is encoded by a hybrid gene consisting of a duplication of exons 5 through 10 of the CHRNA7 gene fused 3-prime to a copy of the FAM7A gene (exons A through E). Alternative splicing has been observed, and two variants exist, for this hybrid gene. The N-terminally truncated products predicted by the largest open reading frames for each variant would lack the majority of the neurotransmitter-gated ion-channel ligand binding domain but retain the transmembrane region that forms the ion channel.

This is correct, the Uniprot reference for the human CHRFAM7A is Q494W8. Please note that the exact immunogen is proprietary, the information given on the datasheet (aa 11-60) is the region where the exact sequence is derived from. According to the sequence alignment, an antibody that would be specific to CHRFAM7A without cross-reacting with CHRNA7 would be directed against aa 1-17 of CHRFAM7A (see attachment).  Unfortunately we do not have such antibody. Answer

Upon Blasting the peptide immunogen used to generate this antibody we found that it is 100% homologous to the human CHRNA7 protein (NCBI gene ID: 1139) and 100% homologous to the fusion protein CHRFAM7A (NCBI gene ID: 89832).  The next highest homology was ~57% to DHX33 (NCBI gene ID: 56919).  I didn’t see any real homology to the ULK4 protein.
