    Question

I have a question with regard to some of your anti-chymotrypsin antibodies (ab35694 and ab118845). Have you ever evaluated if these antibodies bind to porcine chymotrypsin?

    Answer

Thank you for contacting Abcam regarding our anti-chymotrypsin antibodies. I have compared the human and porcine chemotrypsin sequences and overall, they share 84% identity.  Unfortunately, we have not mapped the epitopes recognized by these antibodies, so it is not possible to know if the regions of homology correlate to the sequences recognized by these antibodies. I am happy to offer a testing discount whereby you order one or both of these antibodies, test them with your porcine samples and submit your results in the form of an Abreview.  Once the review(s) has been submitted, the discount codes I will provide will become active and can be used towards a free primary antibody on your next purchase from us.  Please reply to this email and I will issue the code(s). I hope this information is helpful.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions.
