  • Function

    Binds to alpha-tubulin folding intermediates after their interaction with cytosolic chaperonin in the pathway leading from newly synthesized tubulin to properly folded heterodimer. Involved in regulation of tubulin heterodimer dissociation. May function as a negative regulator of axonal growth.

  • HeLa (Human epithelial cell line from cervix adenocarcinoma) cells stained for CKAP1/TBCB (Green) using ab237483 at a 1/100 dilution in ICC/IF. Secondary used is an Alexa-Fluor®488-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).

  • CKAP1/TBCB was immunoprecipitated from HeLa (Human epithelial cell line from cervix adenocarcinoma) whole cell lysate using 4 µg of ab237483.

    Lane 1: Rabbit control IgG (1 µg) in HeLa whole cell lysate.

    Lane 2: ab237483 (4 µg) in HeLa whole cell lysate.

    Lane 3: HeLa whole cell lysate (20 µg input).

    For western blotting, an HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG, specific to the non-reduced form of IgG was used as the secondary antibody at a 1/50,000 dilution.
