Additional Notes
I tried the anti-collagen type I antibody in single enzymatic IHC on rabbit tendon. I used a Vectastain HRP system and DAB as substrate. Collagen I was stained brown but also the collagen type I-Ab related immunostaining was detected in areas in which the presence of collagen type I was not expected like the paratenon suggesting non-specific staining
Abcam response
Abcam has not tested ab34710 in Rabbit samples and thus can't say how it should have performed. The high background observed may be due to using a Rabbit primary antibody in Rabbit tissue samples.
