  • Function

    The coatomer is a cytosolic protein complex that binds to dilysine motifs and reversibly associates with Golgi non-clathrin-coated vesicles, which further mediate biosynthetic protein transport from the ER, via the Golgi up to the trans Golgi network. Coatomer complex is required for budding from Golgi membranes, and is essential for the retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins. In mammals, the coatomer can only be recruited by membranes associated to ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs), which are small GTP-binding proteins; the complex also influences the Golgi structural integrity, as well as the processing, activity, and endocytic recycling of LDL receptors.

  • Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin embedded Human liver tissue sections labeling COPE using ab180946 at a 1/50 dilution. A ready to use HRP Polymer for Rabbit IgG was used as the secondary. Hematoxylin counterstain.

    Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

  • Immunofluorescent analysis of formaldehyde fixed MCF-7 cells labeling COPE using ab180946 at a 1/50 dilution. A Goat anti rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor®488) was used as the secondary at a 1/200 dilution. Counterstain DAPI.

  • Flow Cytometry analysis of A375 cells labeling COPE using ab180946 at a 1/70 dilution (pink). Goat anti rabbit IgG (FITC) used as the secondary at a 1/150 dilution. Isotype control Rabbit monoclonal IgG (green). Cells were fixed in 2% paraformaldehyde.
