IHC-P 1/100 - 1/500.

  • Function

Receptor to interleukin-8, which is a powerful neutrophils chemotactic factor. Binding of IL-8 to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. This receptor binds to IL-8 with a high affinity and to MGSA (GRO) with a low affinity.
  • Sequence similarities

Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
  • Cellular localization

    Cell membrane.

Customer reviews and Q&As

Thank you for contacting us last week and sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I now have some further information to share with you in regards to the Anti-CXCR1 antibody (ab124344). You requested information relating to if the antibody hadbeen used specifically with cancer tissue. I can confirm that this has not been performed byus in house and we have hadno reports fromour customers of thiseither. However, the antibody has beenused to stain human fetal tonsil tissue.

I now have furtherinformation as tothe protocol used to obtain this staining (presented on the datasheet of ab124344).The tissue wasformalin fixed andparaffin embedded. Following mounting and deparaffinisation the tissue was treatedwith10 mM boilingcitrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15 minutes to unmask the epitope. TheCXCR1proteinwasthenstained usingthe primary antibodyin a 1/100 dilution overnight at4ºC followedby an HRP conjugated secondary antibody for the detection with DAB.

Although this antibodyhas not been used in cancer tissue specifically,I can reassure you that if you intend to use this antibody in paraffin embeddedIHCwith human samples, the antibody will be covered by the Abpromise. This means that if you arenot achieving thestaining expectedin yourtissue and you make usaware of this within 6 months ofpurchase you wouldbe entitled to afree replacementantibody or your money back.More information on the Abpromise canbe found from the followinglink:

I hope this informationhas been of some help. If you requireany further information, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
