  • Function
    Receptor for interleukin-8 which is a powerful neutrophil chemotactic factor. Binding of IL-8 to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Binds to IL-8 with high affinity. Also binds with high affinity to CXCL3, GRO/MGSA and NAP-2.

  • Immunohistochemical analysis of frozen mouse prostate tissue, staining CXCR2 with ab14935.

    Tissue was fixed in formaldehyde and blocked with 10% donkey serum and 1% BSA. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/100) and a FITC-conjugated donkey anti-rabbit IgG (1/200) was used as the secondary antibody.
  • ab14935 staining CXCR2 in Mouse pancreatic neoplasia associated stroma tissue sections by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P - formaldehyde-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue was fixed with paraformaldehyde and blocked with 5% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature; antigen retrieval was by heat mediation in citrate buffer. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/250 in PBS) for 8 hours at 4°C. A Biotin-conjugated Goat anti-rabbit IgG polyclonal (1/1000) was used as the secondary antibody.
