ICC/IF | 1/5000. This product gave a positive signal in A549 cells fixed with 4% formaldehyde (10 min) and 100% methanol (5 min) |
Target
-
Function
Blocks interferon-dependent interphase and stimulates DNA synthesis in cells. Involved in the translational regulation of the human papillomavirus type 16 E7 mRNA (HPV16 E7). -
Tissue specificity
Expressed in cultured epidermal, bronchial and mesothelial cells but absent in colon, ectocervix and liver. Observed throughout the glandular cells in the junction between stomach and esophagus but is absent in the esophagus. -
Sequence similarities
Belongs to the intermediate filament family. -
Post-translational
modificationsArg-20 is dimethylated, probably to asymmetric dimethylarginine. -
Cellular localization

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - Anti-Cytokeratin 7 antibody [EPR17078] (Alexa Fluor® 488) (ab208273)
ab208273 staining Cytokeratin 7 in A549 cells. The cells were fixed with 100% methanol (5min), permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 for 5 minutes and then blocked with 1% BSA/10% normal goat serum/0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1h. The cells were then incubated overnight at +4°C with ab208273 at 1/5000 dilution (shown in green) and ab195889, Mouse monoclonal to alpha Tubulin (Alexa Fluor® 594), at 1/250 dilution (pseudocolored in red). Nuclear DNA was labelled with DAPI (shown in blue). Image was taken with a confocal microscope (Leica-Microsystems, TCS SP8).
This product also gave a positive signal under the same testing conditions in A549 cells fixed with 4% formaldehyde (10 min).
