Application Abreviews Notes
WB Use a concentration of 0.5 - 5 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 30 kDa. Good results were obtained when blocked with 5% non-fat dry milk in 0.05% PBS-T.
IHC-P Use at an assay dependent concentration.

    This transcriptional activator recognizes and binds to the sequence 5'-RTTAYGTAAY-3' found in the promoter of genes such as albumin, CYP2A4 and CYP2A5. It is not essential for circadian rhythm generation, but modulates important clock output genes. May be a direct target for regulation by the circadian pacemaker component clock. May affect circadian period and sleep regulation.

Thank you for your patience. The originator of the product have came back to me with a reply and I have attached it below for your reference. You are right. Jérôme Wuarin and Ueli Schibler (Cell, Vol. 63, 1257-1266, December 21, 1990) tested this antibody in Rat tissue while we used human cell lines and samples in WB. We don't know whether the DBP protein undergoes different post-translation modification in different species. The nature of the gel and different markers used by different labs could also result in this discrepancy. I hope this information will be able to explain the difference in band size obtained.
