    RNA-binding protein, which may be required during spermatogenesis.

    Mainly expressed in testis. Expressed to a lower level in thymus. Weakly or not expressed in heart, liver, brain, placenta, lung, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas.

  • Cellular localization

    Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Predominantly cytoplasmic (By similarity). Nuclear at some stages of spermatozoides development. In midpachytene spermatocytes, it is localized in both the cytoplasm and the nuclei and is clearly excluded from the sex vesicles. In round spermatids, it localizes mainly in the nuclei, whereas in elongated spermatids, it localizes to the cytoplasm.

  • Flow cytometric analysis of 2% paraformaldehyde-fixed Jurkat cells labeling DAZAP1 with ab182558 at 1/10 dilution (red), compared to a Rabbit monoclonal IgG isotype control (green), followed by Goat anti rabbit IgG (FITC) secondary antibody at 1/150 dilution.

  • Western blot analysis on immunoprecipitation pellet from Jurkat cell lysate immunoprecipitated using ab182558 at 1/50 dilution (Lane 1). Lane 2: Negative control.

    Secondary: Anti-Rabbit IgG (HRP), specific to the non-reduced form of IgG at 1/1500 dilution.
