Reproducibility is key to advancing scientific discovery and accelerating scientists’ next breakthrough.
Abcam is leading the way with our range of recombinant antibodies, knockout-validated antibodies and knockout cell lines, all of which support improved reproducibility.
We are also planning to innovate the way in which we present recommended applications and species on our product datasheets, so that only applications & species that have been tested in our own labs, our suppliers or by selected trusted collaborators are covered by our Abpromise™ guarantee.
In preparation for this, we have started to update the applications & species that this product is Abpromise guaranteed for.
We are also updating the applications & species that this product has been “predicted to work with,” however this information is not covered by our Abpromise guarantee.
Applications & species from publications and Abreviews that have not been tested in our own labs or in those of our suppliers are not covered by the Abpromise guarantee.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
|WB||1/2000 - 1/10000. Detects a band of approximately 90 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 83 kDa).|
|IP||Use at 2-5 µg/mg of lysate.|
FunctionUbiquitin ligase that mediates monoubiquitination of 'Lys-91' of histone H4 (H4K91ub1), in response to DNA damage. Protects cells exposed to DNA-damaging agents. The exact role of H4K91ub1 in DNA damage response is still unclear but it may function as a licensing signal for additional histone H4 post-translational modifications such as H4 'Lys-20' methylation (H4K20me). Involved in the recruitment of 53BP1/TP53BP1 to sites of DNA damage by mediating H4K91ub1 formation.
PathwayProtein modification; protein ubiquitination.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the Deltex family.
Contains 1 RING-type zinc finger.
Cellular localizationCytoplasm. Nucleus.

All lanes : Anti-DTX3L antibody (ab70621) at 0.4 µg/ml
Lane 1 : HeLa whole cell lysate at 50 µg
Lane 2 : HeLa whole cell lysate at 15 µg
Lane 3 : HeLa whole cell lysate at 5 µg
Lane 4 : 293T whole cell lysate at 50 µg
Lane 5 : NIH3T3 whole cell lysate at 50 µg
Predicted band size: 83 kDa
Observed band size: 90 kDa why is the actual band size different from the predicted?
Additional bands at: 35 kDa, 40 kDa. We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.
Immunoprecipitation of HeLa whole cell lysate (1mg) using ab70621 at 3 µg/mg lysate (lane 1) or control IgG (lane 2). 20% of the immunoprecipitate was analysed by Western blot using ab70621 at 1 µg/ml.
