We are also planning to innovate the way in which we present recommended applications and species on our product datasheets, so that only applications & species that have been tested in our own labs, our suppliers or by selected trusted collaborators are covered by our Abpromise™ guarantee.
In preparation for this, we have started to update the applications & species that this product is Abpromise guaranteed for.
We are also updating the applications & species that this product has been “predicted to work with,” however this information is not covered by our Abpromise guarantee.
Applications & species from publications and Abreviews that have not been tested in our own labs or in those of our suppliers are not covered by the Abpromise guarantee.

|IHC-P||1/100 - 1/500.|
RelevanceFunction: Converts big endothelin-1 to endothelin-1. Also involved in the processing of various neuroendocrine peptides, including neurotensin, angiotensin I, substance P, proenkephalin-derived peptides, and prodynorphin-derived peptides. May limit beta-amyloid peptide accumulation in brain. May also have methyltransferase activity. Tissue specificity: Expressed in brain. Strongly down-regulated in inferior parietal lobe from Alzheimer disease patients (at protein level). Similarity: In the N-terminal section; belongs to the methyltransferase superfamily. In the C-terminal section; belongs to the peptidase M13 family.
Cellular localizationGolgi apparatus membrane. Cytoplasmic granule membrane.
PE Anti-CD4 antibody [RM4-5] (ab210350) at 1/300 dilution + mouse brain lysate
HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) at 1/5000 dilution
Predicted band size: 100 kDa
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of mouse brain tissue labelling ECE2 with ab217350 at a dilution of 1/400. Antigen retrieval was performed by boiling in sodium citrate (pH6.0) for 15 minutes, followed by blocking of endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes. Normal goat serum was used as the blocking buffer at 37°C for 30 minutes followed by incubation with the primary antibody overnight at 4°C. DAB staining was performed.
