    Dear Sir,
    I have a question regarding antibodies against eIF5A-1 and eIF5A-2. Both proteins are very similar and it seems that some eIF5A-2 antibodies recognize eIF5A-1. I am wondering if you have antibodies that distinguish eIf5A-1 and eIF5A-2. I’ve look at your websites for all eIF5A-1 and eIF5A-2 antibodies (ex. Ab126733, ab150439…etc). In this case, monoclonal antibodies are better, but the peptide sequence is not shown. There are some differences towards C-terminus between these two protein sequences. Please let me know which products recognize only eIF5A-1 or eIF5A-2, if you have tested the specificity.

    Thank you for contacting us. The antibody ab150439 is tested and is very specific for eIF5A-2. Regarding eIF5A-1 (otherwise known as eIF5A) many of these antibodies have some amount of cross-reactivity, although one predicted to be least likely to cross-react is ab106782, based on homology with the immunogen.
