Human LBP ELISA Kit (LPS Binding Protein)

Human LBP ELISA kit (ab279407) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Human LBP protein in human serum, plasma and cell culture supernatant samples. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human LBP with 6.79 pg/mL sensitivity.

SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. LBP (LPS Binding Protein) is an acute phase protein involved in the cellular response to gram-negative bacterial infections. LBP binds to LPS protein expressed on gram-negative bacteria and elicits a response by engaging with pattern recognition receptors, CD14 and TLR4. LBP is essential for the initial response to gram-negative bacterial infection but not for the downstream stages.
