Referral program terms and conditions

By successfully referring a friend or colleague to an Abcam event, you will be entered into our prize draw where you can win a variety of prizes. 

You must meet and adhere to the following terms and conditions in order to qualify for this referral program (the "Program"):

1. This Program is available only for individuals aged 21 years or over (excluding employees of Abcam, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with this Program) and is contingent upon: (i) you having first submitted to Abcam an applicable event form prior to making any referral under this Program (each such person, a “Referrer”)and (ii) the receiver of the referral (each such person, a "Referree") must register for and attend/view the event/webinar for a Referrer to be entered into the prize draw (collectively, a “Referral”).  
2. Subject to these Terms, each Referrer shall be eligible to receive a non-cash based prize of Abcam’s choosing (each, a “Prize”). 
3. The Prize has an estimated value of £50 but may vary from month to month (in Abcam’s sole discretion).  In no event will the Prize exceed £100 in value.
4. Except as otherwise stated in these Terms, no country and/or individual is excluded from this Program; provided, however, that this Program shall be VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
5. In the event that a Referrer is unable to accept the Prize, Abcam agrees to substitute the Prize for a future product discount (not to exceed £100).
6. A Referrer may not refer the same Referree more than once to the same event.  
7. For each successful Referral made in accordance with these Terms, the Referrer will be entered into a Prize drawing.  Abcam will select Prize winners at random and notify winners by email.
8. Except as otherwise permitted by these Terms, the Prize may not be exchanged for any other reward.
9. Abcam reserves the right to disqualify any Referrals where it cannot be verified that such Referral is made in accordance with these Terms.  Verification will be completed by Abcam at its sole discretion.  Abcam's decision on any Referrer's eligibility is final.
10. Abcam may modify, update or discontinue this Program, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice. 
11. This Program has been implemented by Abcam under its own volition.
12. Abcam shall treat any personal data you provide in connection with this Program in accordance with our privacy policy and you hereby give your consent to Abcam to use any such personal data in accordance with our privacy policy. 
13. No purchase is necessary for participation in this Program.
14. Re-sellers, distributors, employees of Abcam and/or any of their respective families are not eligible for this Program.
15. All Referrals must be submitted online via the specific event’s registration form. Any questions relating to this Program should be submitted to events@abcam.com.
16. You hereby represent and warrant to Abcam that you are permitted to participate in this Program and that your participation does not violate: (i) any of your employer’s rules and/or policies; and/or (ii) your local governing law.
17. This Program shall be governed by English law, and both you and Abcam hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
18. Abcam accepts no responsibility for any registrations not successfully completed for any reason, including but not limited to, any technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, network or server failure of any kind.
19. The promoter of this Program is Abcam Ltd located at Discovery Drive, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Cambridge, CB2 0AX.
