Product details

The Alcian Blue (pH 1.0) (Mucin Stain) is intended for use in the histological visualization of strongly sulfated mucosubstances.

The component Acetic Acid Solution has been replaced with Hydrochloric Acid Solution in this kit.

Alcian Blue staining protocol summary:
- deparaffinize sections if necessary and hydrate
- prepare Working Rinse solution
- apply Working Rinse solution to tissue for 30 sec
- incubate in Alcian Blue pH 1.0 for 30 min
- rinse in Working Rinse Solution
- blot and air dry slide
- stain in nuclear fast red for 1-2 min
- rinse in water and allow to dry completely
- clear and mount
