Product details

Gamma Glutamyl Transferase (GGT) Assay Kit (Colorimetric) (ab241029) provides a convenient tool for sensitive detection of GGT activity in a variety of samples.

GGT assay principle
In the GGT assay, GGT in the sample acts on L γ Glutamyl pNA, releasing pNA. The level of pNA can be quantified colorimetrically (418 nm).

GGT assay protocol summary
- add samples and standards to wells
- add substrate mix
- analyze standard wells on plate reader
- incubate for 3-min at 37°C
- analyze on plate reader, incubate for another 30-min to 2-hrs at 37°C and then analyze again on plate reader
(or preferably, analyze in kinetic mode at 37°C for 30-min to 2-hrs)

This assay detects GGT activity as low as 0.5 mIU.

Other Notes
This product is manufactured by BioVision, an Abcam company and was previously called K784 Gamma Glutamyl Transferase (GGT) Activity Colorimetric Assay Kit. K784-100 is the same size as the 100 test size of ab241029.

The Safety Datasheet for this product has been updated for certain countries. Please check the current version in the Support and downloads section.
