A GFP-expressing alternative to this product is also available (ab315365).

Human Spinal Motor Neurons are derived from normal control iPSC line WC-30. BrainXell Spinal Motor Neurons have high neuronal purity (>80%) consisting of greater than 70% motor neurons. Labelling with the pan-neuronal marker MAP2 and the motor neuron-specific marker FOXP1 highlight the purity of this neuronal product. Spinal Motor Neurons are adherent and exhibit substantial neurite outgrowth within the first week in culture and demonstrate pronounced electrophysiological activity after two weeks in culture, as demonstrated by multi-electrode array (MEA) recordings.

Vials of Spinal Motor Neurons are delivered with three supplements which are designed to facilitate the maturation and health of the cultures. BrainFast Motor is a seeding supplement which promotes cell survival at thaw and completes the differentiation process from late-stage neural progenitor to neuron. BrainFast SK enhances neuronal purity, and BrainFast D4 accelerates maturation.
