MW 178.61 g/mol. Chromogenic peroxidase substrate that results in a precipitate that is blue to blue-purple in color and can be observed visually. Used for both western blotting and immunohistochemical staining. Can be used as a substitute in the myeloperoxidase stain for benzidine compounds, which are considered to be carcinogenic.
