Exhibits no detectable effects against Human Hsp72 ATPase or topoisomerase II. Shows antiproliferative effects. Upregulates Hsp72 and downregulates c-Raf and cdk4. Antitumor activity is independent of NQO1/DT-diaphorase and P-glycoprotein expression.

Biological description

Selective, cell-permeable Hsp90 ATPase inhibitor (IC50 values are 3.2 μM and 6.6 μM for Human Hsp90 beta and yeast Hsp90 respectively).
