Biological description

Selective, irreversible elastase inhibitor. Inhibits succinyltrialanine p-nitroanilide hydrolytic enzyme (IC₅₀ = 17 μM, porcine liver). Inhibits neutrophil and microglial elastase. Shows antiviral effects.
