Biological description

Novel orally bioavailable, brain penetrant mixed lineage kinase (MLK) inhibitor (IC₅₀ values of 19, 42, 14, and 150 nM for MLK1, MLK2, MLK3, and the related MLK family member DLK, respectively). Inhibits multiple kinase pathways including LRRK2 (IC₅₀ = 11 nM). Decreases the production of inflammatory cytokines in cultured microglia exposed to HIV-1 Tat. Reduces fMLP-induced chemotaxis of neutrophil from wild-type C57Bl/6 mice. Facilitates Amyloid-β Clearance in a Murine Model of Alzheimer's Disease.
