REACH authorisation
Abcam has not and does not intend to apply for the REACH Authorisation of customers' uses of products that contain European Authorisation list (Annex XIV) substances.
It is the responsibility of our customers to check the necessity of application of REACH Authorisation, and any other relevant authorisations, for their intended uses.

Lysate preparation: Our lysates are made using RIPA buffer to which we add a protease inhibitor cocktail and phosphatase inhibitor cocktail (ratio: 300:100:10). This means that the protein of interest is denatured. If you require a native form of the protein please use the live cell version. Please refer to our lysis protocol for further details on how our lysates are prepared.

User storage instructions: Lyophilizate may be stored at 4°C. After reconstitution, store at -20°C for short-term storage or -80°C for long-term storage.

This product is subject to limited use licenses from The Broad Institute and ERS Genomics Limited, and is developed with patented technology. For full details of the limited use licenses and relevant patents please refer to our limited use license and patent pages.

Supplementary information

PHF11 also known as PHD finger protein 11 is a protein encoded by the PHF11 gene in humans. This protein has a molecular mass of approximately 32 kDa. It is expressed in various tissues with a higher concentration in lymphoid tissues like the thymus and spleen. PHF11 contains PHD zinc finger domains which suggest its involvement in chromatin remodeling activities. These structures enable the protein to interact with histones influencing gene transcription processes.
Biological function summary

PHF11 regulates the immune response and chromatin-mediated transcription. Its role involves influencing the accessibility of chromatin for transcriptional machinery aiding in gene expression modulation. Although it primarily functions alone PHF11 can also associate with chromatin remodeling complexes to fulfill its role in transcription regulation. It contributes to cytokine expression impacting immune response modulation which is critical for organismal defense mechanisms.

Pathways

PHF11 participates in immune response pathways including the adaptive immune response. It interacts with other proteins in these pathways such as transcription factors and histones to mediate transcription of immune-related genes. An important relationship exists with proteins involved in the NF-kB signaling pathway which is essential for immune and inflammatory responses. Through its interactions PHF11 helps fine-tune immune gene activation and contributes to balancing immune signaling.

PHF11 exhibits associations with asthma and allergic rhinitis. Researchers have observed that alterations in PHF11 expression can influence susceptibility and severity of these conditions. This protein influences immune pathways that involve other proteins such as cytokines which affect immune cell recruitment and inflammation. Studies suggest PHF11 as a potential therapeutic target for modulating immune responses in these disorders providing pathways for intervention and therapy development.
