Sandwich ELISA - Human Annexin A4 ELISA Kit (ANXA4) (AB272212)
Interpolated concentrations of native Annexin A4 in human HepG2 sample based on a 1 μg/mL extract load and lung sample based on an 8 μg/mL extract load.
The concentrations of Annexin A4 were measured in duplicate and interpolated from the Annexin A4 standard curve and corrected for sample dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Annexin A4 concentration was determined to be 1,767 pg/mL in HepG2 extract and 1,094 pg/mL in lung extract.

Product details
Human Annexin A4 ELISA kit (ab272212) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Annexin A4 protein in cell and tissue extracts. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human Annexin A4 with 16 pg/mL sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:
-Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
-High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
-Fully validated in biological samples
-96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells strips
A 384-well SimpleStep ELISA® microplate (ab203359) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpleStep ELISA® kits.
Annexin A4 (ANXA4) is a calcium/phospholipid-binding protein which promotes membrane fusion and is involved in exocytosis. Human Annexin A4 amino acids sequence is 92% identical to mouse and rat Annexin A4 sequence.

Biological function summary
The protein functions in cellular processes involving membrane-related activities. It does not appear to be part of a larger stable complex but researchers have observed its interaction with cell membranes and involvement in membrane repair and cell signal transduction. Annexin-4 can mediate interactions between the cytoskeleton and the plasma membrane impacting cell motility and structure.
Pathways
Annexin-4 functions in the phospholipid signaling pathways particularly influencing pathways related to calcium signaling. In the calcium-dependent signaling pathway Annexin-4 regulates cellular responses by cooperating with proteins such as calmodulin and other annexins contributing to processes like cell proliferation and apoptosis.
