Sandwich ELISA - Human Apolipoprotein CI/Apo-CI ELISA Kit- Extracellular (AB320791)
Interpolated concentrations of Apolipoprotein CI/Apo-CI in normal human serum donors. Serum of ten individual healthy human female donors was measured in duplicate. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values (to neat sample) are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Apolipoprotein CI/Apo-CI concentration was determined to be 179.9 µg/mL with a range of 98.2 – 282.7 µg/mL.

Product details
Human Apolipoprotein CI/Apo-CI SimpleStep ELISA® kit is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Apolipoprotein CI/Apo-CI protein in Serum, Cit Plasma, EDTA Plasma, Hep Plasma, Cell culture media. Quantitate Human Apolipoprotein CI/Apo-CI with 14.44 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:
-Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
-High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
-Fully validated in biological samples
-96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells strips, available in 10-pack (10 x 96-well plates)
-Also available in a fully validated 384-well format.

Biological function summary
Apo-CI influences plasma triglyceride levels and cholesterol homeostasis. It plays a role in lipid transport and metabolism by modulating the binding of other apolipoproteins such as apo A-IV and interfering with the binding of lipoproteins to their receptors. Apo-CI is part of a complex of apolipoproteins that regulate lipid metabolism working in tandem to balance lipid and cholesterol levels in the body.
Pathways
Apo-CI is actively involved in the lipoprotein metabolism pathway and cholesterol efflux pathway. These pathways are important in maintaining lipid balance and cardiovascular health. Apo-CI is related to other apolipoproteins within these pathways such as apo E and apo A-I. Its function in modulating lipoprotein receptor interactions aligns with the broader mechanisms of these pathways in lipid and cholesterol regulation.
