Human Apolipoprotein CIII Low Sensitivity ELISA Kit is a single-wash 90-min Simplestep used to quantify Human Apolipoprotein CIII Low Sensitivity with a sensitivity of 4.6ng/ml. The assay uses a simple mix-wash-read protocol with just one incubation and one wash step.

Serum of eight individual healthy human male donors was measured in duplicate. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values (to neat sample) are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Apolipoprotein CIII concentration was determined to be 333.3 µg/mL with a range of 168.2 – 579.8 µg/mL.

Interpolated concentration of native Apolipoprotein CIII was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum (1 : 2,000), plasma – citrate (1 : 1,250), plasma – EDTA (1 : 1,667), and plasma – heparin (1 : 1,250). The interpolated dilution factor corrected values (to neat sample) are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS.

Human Apolipoprotein CIII Low Sensitivity ELISA Kit (ab325561) SimpleStep ELISA^® employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA^® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Component of triglyceride-rich very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) and high density lipoproteins (HDL) in plasma (PubMed : 18201179, PubMed : 22510806). Plays a multifaceted role in triglyceride homeostasis (PubMed : 18201179, PubMed : 22510806). Intracellularly, promotes hepatic very low density lipoprotein 1 (VLDL1) assembly and secretion; extracellularly, attenuates hydrolysis and clearance of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRLs) (PubMed : 18201179, PubMed : 22510806). Impairs the lipolysis of TRLs by inhibiting lipoprotein lipase and the hepatic uptake of TRLs by remnant receptors (PubMed : 18201179, PubMed : 22510806). Formed of several curved helices connected via semiflexible hinges, so that it can wrap tightly around the curved micelle surface and easily adapt to the different diameters of its natural binding partners (PubMed : 18408013).
