Sandwich ELISA - Human Attractin ELISA Kit (AB263888)
Serum from ten individual healthy human female donors was measured in duplicate.
Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Attractin concentration was determined to be 6,296 ng/mL with a range of 2,868 – 9,858 ng/mL.

Sandwich ELISA - Human Attractin ELISA Kit (AB263888)
Interpolated concentrations of native Attractin in human serum and plasma samples.
The concentrations of Attractin were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the Attractin standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 1%, plasma (heparin) 1%, and plasma (EDTA) 1%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Attractin concentration was determined to be 2,327 ng/mL in neat serum, 2,638 ng/mL in neat plasma (heparin), and 2,206 ng/mL in neat plasma (EDTA).

Sandwich ELISA - Human Attractin ELISA Kit (AB263888)
Interpolated concentrations of native Attractin in human saliva and urine samples.
The concentrations of Attractin were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the Attractin standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : saliva 2% and urine 4%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Attractin concentration was determined to be 152.4 ng/mL in neat saliva and 203.5 ng/mL in neat urine.

Product details
Human Attractin ELISA Kit (ab263888) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Attractin protein in edta plasma, hep plasma, saliva, serum, urine, and cell culture media. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human Attractin with 1 ng/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:
- Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
- High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
- Fully validated in biological samples
- 96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells strips
A 384-well SimpleStep ELISA® microplate (ab203359) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpleStep ELISA® kits.
Attractin is involved in the initial clustering of immune cells during inflammatory responses and may play a role in the regulation of chemotactic activity of chemokines. Attractin also plays a critical role in normal myelination in the central nervous system.

Biological function summary
Attractin involves in controlling cell interactions in the immune system. It forms part of complexes on cell surfaces that affect leukocyte adhesion and migration. This protein modulates T-cell interactions which influences immune responses and facilitates cell communication. It may also have roles in neuroendocrine signaling suggesting its involvement in the communication between neurons and endocrine tissues.
Pathways
The presence of Attractin influences cell signaling pathways that regulate immune responses and cell adhesion. It interacts with the melanocortin pathway which involves melanocortin receptors and is critical for regulating inflammatory responses. Attractin also associates with proteins such as chemokines that mediate cell signaling involved in immune response and neuroinflammation pathways.
