Product details

The Huamn Calreticulin-3 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) Kit is designed for detection of Calreticulin 3 (CALR3) in human plasma, serum, cell culture, and cell lysate samples.

This assay employs a quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique that measures human CALR3 in approximately 4 hours. A polyclonal antibody specific for human CALR3 has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate with removable strips. CALR3 in standards and samples is sandwiched by the immobilized antibody and a biotinylated polyclonal antibody specific for human CALR3, which is recognized by a streptavidin-peroxidase (SP) conjugate. All unbound material is washed away and a peroxidase enzyme substrate is added. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Target data

During spermatogenesis, may act as a lectin-independent chaperone for specific client proteins such as ADAM3. Required for sperm fertility (By similarity). CALR3 capacity for calcium-binding may be absent or much lower than that of CALR.
