Human Carbonic anhydrase 6 ELISA kit (ab272199) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Carbonic anhydrase 6 protein in human serum, plasma, milk, saliva, and cell and tissue extracts. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human Carbonic anhydrase 6 with 2.12 pg/mL sensitivity.

SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Carbonic anhydrase 6 (CA6), encoded by CA6 gene, is a zinc metalloenzyme. More specifically, an extracellular secretory isoform of the CA family that catalyzes the reversible hydration-dehydration of CO₂ and HCO₃^-1: CO₂ + H₂O <=> H⁺ + HCO₃^- and found in all tissue and cell types. CA6 main presence is found in saliva, though its function in saliva is unknown.
