Sandwich ELISA - Human CCL16 ELISA Kit (AB243673)
Example of human CCL16 standard curve in Sample Diluent NS.
The CCL16 standard curve was prepared as described in Section 10. Raw data values are shown in the table. Background-subtracted data values (mean +/- SD) are graphed.

Sandwich ELISA - Human CCL16 ELISA Kit (AB243673)
Interpolated concentrations of native CCL16 in human serum, plasma and cell culture supernatant samples.
The concentrations of CCL16 were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the CCL16 standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 1%, plasma (citrate) 1.5%, and HepG2 supernatant 30%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean CCL16 concentration was determined to be 15284.9 pg/mL in serum, 12472.9 pg/mL in plasma (citrate) and 599.3 pg/mL in HepG2 supernatant.

Product details
Human CCL16 ELISA Kit (ab243673) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of CCL16 protein in cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, and serum. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human CCL16 with 1 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:
- Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
- High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
- Fully validated in biological samples
- 96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells strips
A 384-well SimpleStep ELISA® microplate (ab203359) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpleStep ELISA® kits.

Biological function summary
LEC performs vital roles in immune cell signaling and chemotaxis. It binds specifically to certain chemokine receptors on target cells initiating signaling cascades that recruit lymphocytes to infected or inflamed tissues. LEC functions as part of a larger complex that includes other chemokines to coordinate immune responses. Its expression and activity influence various immune functions which makes its regulation significant for maintaining healthy immune system operation.
Pathways
LEC acts within immune signaling pathways and inflammation-related processes. It plays essential parts in pathways like the chemokine signaling pathway where it interacts with other proteins such as CCR1 and CCR2 chemokine receptors. Through these interactions LEC contributes to the recruitment and activation of specific immune cell subtypes facilitating a coordinated response to inflammation or infection.
